Luke's Notes

It is hilarious how Luke is always writing himself cute notes. I think he's afraid he will forget something really important. He will probably grow up to be the list maker in our family.
Luke kept bugging me one day...asking me where i hid the candy that we had gotten. I wouldn't tell him, so a little while later he handed me this note and made me promise not to flip it over and look at the other side. I had to peek (sorry, Luke!) and I about peed my pants!! He was strategizing how he would "spy for the candy"!! SO. FUNNY.

Translation: "Spy in the morning. In the cupboards. Early in the morning. You are going to try to get candy." Along with a drawing of him looking in the cupboards!

When Curt was getting ready to leave for work that next morning, he found Luke and Ty out in the kitchen with candy in their hands! It was 5 AM!!

The boys had gotten in trouble for running in the house. I came across this note when I was picking up Luke's room. "No running. New roll (rule)."

We spent General Conference weekend at the cabin. I had brought The Friend (kids' church magazine) along for Luke to read. He looked it over for a while and then wanted some paper so he could draw. These pictures above are what he drew!

That Naughty Papa

Ty and I were having fun this afternoon coloring.
He said to me...
"Mom, you're silly!! But Papa isn't silly.
He's BAD because he doesn't wear his seatbelt sometimes."
Shame on you, Papa!

Our Little Jack-O-Lantern

Luke lost his 3rd tooth a couple of days ago!! Daddy was at work, so no pliers were involved this time. Luke was so nervous for me to pull out that tooth, but I wasn't giving up! After trying to give him pep talks, he was still freaking out. So I practically had to pin him down and I barely touched his tooth with my fingernail....and the tooth FELL OUT! Immediately, the tears stopped and his face was filled with a huge smile.
One more dollar from the Tooth Fairy!
Way to go, Luke!!

Celebrating Jake!

Jake's due date was October 17th, 2006. This is what I looked like at about 36 weeks. Ready to pop!
Sweet baby Jake was born on October 9th 2006...weighing 8 lbs. 8 oz. and was my biggest baby thus far!

Since Jake loves animals, I decided to do a farm cake. It's not one of my favorite cakes I've done, but the kids liked it and that's all that matters!

The birthday boy by his cake!

Blowing out the candle!

This kid LOVES chocolate (or anything sweet. Just like his momma!)

Some toys we bought with birthday money from Papa and Grandma Debbie!
Jake LOVES Go Diego Go!

Monda, Greg, and their girls came...as well as Ashlie, Alayna, and Grandma and Grandpa Holbrook! Jake was great entertainment as we watched him open his presents. I think he was most excited about the packages of M&M's Grandma had taped in his new dump truck!

Jake would practically disappear every time he tried reaching into this huge bag full of presents!

I'm TWO!!

...3 Months Later!

For 3 MONTHS I have kept forgetting to post these way cool family pictures that Steph took of the Holbrook clan in July!
Matt, Natalie, and their 3 cute kiddos came down from Utah to visit. The boys had fun playing with their cousins at Grandma's house while Mommy went to radiation during the week. I think the best time was had by all when we all drove to Snowflake to spend the weekend at the cabin!
It was fun, but we wish Matt, Nat, and the kids lived closer so we could see them more often.

WANTED!!

This morning at approximately 8:30am, the "Streaker Bandit" forced himself into my kitchen and ransacked my drawers, while looking for the black spatula. If anyone has any information that would lead to the apprehension of this suspect, please notify us immediately! (Or notify us if you think he is just too stinkin cute, too!)
This bandit has also been known to disguise himself with glasses that were stolen from Mr. Potato Head.

Cool Cat...

On Monday, I picked up Ty and Boston from preschool. They were both VERY excited to show me their new sunglasses that they got from the treasure box. As soon as Ty put his on, however, the ear piece fell off. I put the ear piece back on, and as he was trying to put the glasses on again, one of the lenses popped out!! I was laughing so hard, but Ty was not amused. He was getting very sad/angry that his glasses kept breaking. I fixed them again, and said a silent prayer to myself that they wouldn't break again. I was not looking forward to the melt down it would cause!

Typical "Ty face" with that little chin and his top lip sticking out!

Am I cool or what??!!
