Ty's Day With Mommy

Yesterday, I had the BEST time with Ty!
While Luke was in school, and Jake was still with his grandparents, I decided to take Ty and get out of the house for a little while. He was as good as gold when we ran a few errands at the Hardware Store, Dollar Tree, and Walgreen's. I was even able to sneak some Easter goodies into the cart without him noticing :) We had a discussion about the Easter Bunny. Ty has been saying that "it has to be someone dressed up in a bunny costume. Real bunnies can't hide eggs."
So....both Luke AND Ty know the truth.
I hope we can keep the Santa secret a lot longer!!
After running errands, I thought it would be fun to have lunch with my little man! We decided to go to Peter Piper Pizza for their lunch buffet and games. After eating one breadstick and declaring that he was "full",
Ty patiently waited for me to stop stuffing my face.
I went up for seconds and as I was sitting back down at the table,
Ty said..."You're eating AGAIN?" This kid is a crack up!

With his cup full of tokens, he went from game to game collecting tickets. He was even kind enough to let Mommy play a couple of games too. We had a blast playing air hockey! When it was time to go, he was able to get some prizes with his tickets. Of course he chose the ever popular "whoopie cushion" and some candy to share with Luke. On the drive home, we decided to stop at the library. Ty didn't want to check out any books, though. He wanted me to read them to him in the kids' area in the library instead. After reading his 3 books, we headed home to play with the puppy.

At one point during our fun day, I was telling Ty that it would be Luke's turn to do something fun with Mommy. Ty was NOT happy with the idea of him staying home with Daddy while Luke and I went to do something fun.

He said to me, "Well, I hate that idea. You old woman."

I couldn't control my laughter! I still laugh whenever I think about it.
He was dead serious, too. Lately he's been telling me how old I am, but calling me an old woman was hilarious!
I LOVE you so much, Ty!! Thanks for the fun day and the many laughs!

Papa and Grandma Debbie's Visit

Papa and Grandma Debbie came out to stay with the boys while we were on our cruise. The boys always love it when they come visit us! Luke was especially excited that instead of "driving that old Cadillac", they were driving Papa's truck. Luke was expecting to see the Chevy Silverado, but when Grandma Debbie informed him that Papa has a Dodge Ram now, Luke about died!! He said "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!" to her. It was so cute! He is very (very) obsessed with cars/trucks at the moment and knows most makes and models. So it, of course, made his day when he got to ride in the new Ram (although he said he doesn't like the way it smells inside :) Sorry, Papa!)

The night before they left, we got pizza from Hungry Howie's (or Happy Hairy's according to Papa) and some drinks from Sonic and ate at the park.
The boys were sad to have to say their good bye's before they went to bed that night. Ty was sobbing and said "I don't like it when they only stay for a little while." It was sad, but I think Papa and Grandma Debbie were able to see just how much they are loved.
Thanks again for coming, you guys!!

Rest In Peace

Our big fat goldfish named Juice died a few weeks ago.
It was a sad day for all of us because we've had Juice for about 7 years. The day after, Curt took the boys to Pet Smart and let them each pick out a new goldfish.

Juice is buried under this big rock.
Poor Luke...He is so sad in this picture :(

The World Needs More People Like This...

Several Days ago,
Jake and I made a stop at Costco for a few items. As we were walking through the parking lot to get back to the car, an older couple was walking towards the store. The man saw Jake and I and said...
"I've got something for your boy!"
I was confused. Not knowing if he was talking to me...and if he was, what the heck was he talking about??
His sweet little wife walked towards me as the man went back to their car to get something from inside it. She said that he is retired and he loves to spend his time making wooden toys. Whenever they go somewhere, he likes to give away the toys that he's made to random children that he sees. How SWEET!!
He walked back towards us and handed Jake a wooden car. I was BEYOND touched and thanked him over and over again, saying how sweet he was to do such a thing. Jakey loves his little car and every time I look at it, I think of this sweet man.

(Yes, that's a bruise on his nose. He collided with his brother.)

Ty wanted in on the photos too :)

He is always acting so silly!
