Mohawks

Ty has been really into fixing his own hair lately. It has made for some very interesting hair-do's! This picture is of the famous mohawk that he comes up with. He is always so proud of his hair and touches it periodically throughout the day to make sure it's still "standing up".

Luke Gets Glasses

When I picked up Luke from school on Friday, he told me that sometimes his eyes get blurry. That was the first we have heard of him having problems with his vision. Curt called and got Luke an appointment to get his eyes examined the next day.
Long story short....Luke is far-sighted.

We all got a good laugh when he was trying on different frames and decided on these cute black ones. He looks like a little professor. So handsome! He has been waiting on pins and needles for those glasses to come in. He is VERY excited to wear his new glasses. Today we finally got the call that they were in!
He's one happy boy...for now :)

"Follow the arrows. You will find out where the arrows lead.
Have a good time searching! Your boy, Luke"
"Mom or Dad. There is two things for each of you.
Hope you bolth (both) will be happy. Your boy, Luke"

Easter 2009

We had a nice Easter Sunday today. We went to church this morning. The ward choir and Primary sang some really beautiful songs celebrating Christ's resurrection. After church, the boys got their Easter baskets full of books, crayons, coloring books, and some candy. We decided to forgo the egg hunt since they would be doing one at Grandma's house later. When we got to Grandma and Grandpa Holbrook's house, Aunt Alayna had some eggs hidden for each of the kids. They had a lot of fun searching the backyard for their eggs! The eggs were full of candy and coins for their piggy banks. We then had a yummy dinner made by Marla. When we got back home, we had a message from Grandma Debbie and Papa...wishing us a Happy Easter!

Ty's Day With Mommy

Yesterday, I had the BEST time with Ty!
While Luke was in school, and Jake was still with his grandparents, I decided to take Ty and get out of the house for a little while. He was as good as gold when we ran a few errands at the Hardware Store, Dollar Tree, and Walgreen's. I was even able to sneak some Easter goodies into the cart without him noticing :) We had a discussion about the Easter Bunny. Ty has been saying that "it has to be someone dressed up in a bunny costume. Real bunnies can't hide eggs."
So....both Luke AND Ty know the truth.
I hope we can keep the Santa secret a lot longer!!
After running errands, I thought it would be fun to have lunch with my little man! We decided to go to Peter Piper Pizza for their lunch buffet and games. After eating one breadstick and declaring that he was "full",
Ty patiently waited for me to stop stuffing my face.
I went up for seconds and as I was sitting back down at the table,
Ty said..."You're eating AGAIN?" This kid is a crack up!

With his cup full of tokens, he went from game to game collecting tickets. He was even kind enough to let Mommy play a couple of games too. We had a blast playing air hockey! When it was time to go, he was able to get some prizes with his tickets. Of course he chose the ever popular "whoopie cushion" and some candy to share with Luke. On the drive home, we decided to stop at the library. Ty didn't want to check out any books, though. He wanted me to read them to him in the kids' area in the library instead. After reading his 3 books, we headed home to play with the puppy.

At one point during our fun day, I was telling Ty that it would be Luke's turn to do something fun with Mommy. Ty was NOT happy with the idea of him staying home with Daddy while Luke and I went to do something fun.

He said to me, "Well, I hate that idea. You old woman."

I couldn't control my laughter! I still laugh whenever I think about it.
He was dead serious, too. Lately he's been telling me how old I am, but calling me an old woman was hilarious!
I LOVE you so much, Ty!! Thanks for the fun day and the many laughs!
