Crazy Jake

Jake is one crazy little boy and keeps us hoppin'! He is the most determined and stubborn baby I have come across. He can also be so sweet and loving, too, and I love it when he lays his head down on me and squints his eyes as he says "momma" in his sweet voice.

What Jake loves right now...
*climbing on the table (ALL. DAY. LONG.)
*pushing the chairs around so he can reach things on the counter, fridge, and also the light switches
*fruit snacks (preferably the WHOLE pack in his mouth at once)
*copying whatever his big brothers do. He has no fear.
*smack his brothers on the head with either his hand or whatever toy is in his hand at the time.
*make funny faces
*animals
*juice
*his soft blankets
*reaching into the kitchen drawers and pulling out whatever he can get his hands on

Some words Jake says...
*Momma
*Da (Dad)
*juice
*more (usually referring to food and/or drink)
*meow
*dog
*brush
*ni-night
*kiss
*nice

Boys Will Be...Boys??

It's summertime and we have to get creative around here...trying to come up with fun ideas to keep the kids occupied (and to keep Mommy sane!)

The other day, I caught the boys playing THIS......

They usually play "mom and dad". But this day I guess they both wanted to pretend to be moms. Their babies' names were Hillary and Fannie. I was cracking up!

Kindergarten

First day...

Last day...

Luke's Last Day of Kindergarten!

I had a lot of fun helping in Luke's classroom on his last day! They had a pizza party and got to do other fun things like: watch the Mentos/Soda experiment, play on the playground at recess, watch "Finding Nemo", and go to an assembly. Luke was VERY clingy to me and wouldn't let me leave for a while, but Ms. Zachary finally talked him into staying with her for the last 2 hours of school. Lisa has been such an amazing teacher and friend. Her genuine love for Luke has been so touching. She has done so much for him and we will miss her so much. The above picture is so stinking sweet! We will always remember her and will do our best to keep in touch with her, since Luke will be attending a new school in the fall.

Ty and Jake

Ty's lip on day 3. Looking MUCH better.

Ty's drawing of a momma fox!

Drawing of a daddy fox.
This is a dinosaur!

And this is how he was drawing...
with the string wrapped around his sandle! What a silly kid!
HELLO? HELLOOO?
It's funny how Jake uses anything as a phone.
This black thing is a piece to his daddy's putting machine.
Most of the time, Jake refuses to sit in his booster seat at the table.
He wants to sit just like his big brothers do, of course!

Shorty at the table!

Having Fun With Friends

Mommy's friend Kelly and her family (husband Tyson, kids Simon and Helene) drove from Northern CA to AZ for the long weekend! They stayed at our house for 4 nights and we had a lot of fun while they were here!

We played with the toys, played out in the back yard, and went to Tempe Town Lake on Monday where we played Frisbee, baseball, and fed the pigeons our bag of pretzels!

We had to leave the park a bit early because Ty needed stitches after tripping and smacking his mouth on the bench of the picnic table. Kelly went with mommy and Ty to the Urgent Care, while the rest of us kids stayed at our house with Tyson. Mom said Ty was REALLY brave and she was so proud of him!!

We had so much fun with our friends and can't wait for them to come back and visit!

#1 Fan

This morning Luke had crawled into bed with me while the other boys were still asleep. (Curt is in Snowflake at the cabin.) Luke snuggled right up to me and said...

"Do you know what? You're the best mom ever."

Then he says...

"And do you know what else? I'm your number one fan!"

Awwww!!!
